What do I need to bring with me for my visit?
Please bring a photo ID, your insurance card and a means of payment with you when you visit our center. In-network patients will only need to pay their designated co-pay. Out-of-network patients or self-pay patients will be expected to pay in full for the visit.
Will I be charged for an office visit if all I need are vaccinations?
If a patient only comes in for travel or flu shots for example, he/she will be charged the price of the vaccines, and an injection administration fee for each shot. However, if an examination or consultation is required in addition to vaccinations, the patient will be charged for an office visit.
Do I need to make an appointment to visit Downtown Urgent Care?
No. An appointment is not necessary to be seen at our office. If you want to set up an appointment, go to ourExpress Check-In and we will call you back or email you, to decide on a time that best fits your schedule for that day.
Can you admit patients to a hospital if needed?
Yes. We partner with all of Saint Louis's finest hospitals to get you the best care available. Please let us know if you have a particular hospital you prefer. If you should need hospitalization, we can maintain contact with your hospital team and provide seamless follow up. If you have a 'time critical diagnosis' however, you will be transferred to the closest facility to get the fastest treatment.
How long will I have to wait?
We schedule our appointments realistically, and our average waiting room time is projected to be less than 5 minutes. Unless an emergency has arisen, you will not grow old in our waiting room. If you are a parent, please note that a sick child will be treated with even greater speed.
Do you take insurance?
Our philosophy focuses care around a patient's needs, rather than around insurance company policies. In order for our practice to provide unhurried, quality care, we ask that our patients pay for services at the time of registration. To help our patients with insurance company reimbursement, we supply all necessary billing codes and paperwork, and are happy to help if further problems arise.
